What you'll be doing...
As the Mobile Engineering Manager, you will help our Engineering Team to define, implement, and measure practices to ensure that our software provides value to our customers by delivering reliable and high quality mobile applications. You will help achieve this by working with our Engineering Leaders, QA Engineers, and DevOps Engineers to help establish best practice for delivering iOS and Android releases. You will be responsible for driving our mobile applications to become the best in class experience for our customers and help enable them to accomplish their drone based missions safely and successfully.
Directly manage a team of iOS and Android Engineers.
Hire, manage, mentor and coach team members to be successful contributors.
Collaborate with cross-team representatives from Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing.
Develop and provide metrics to the department and Sr. Leadership.
Help drive quality test coverage for mobile applications.
Design, document, and mobile processes.
Analyze test results, perform root cause analysis and file tickets as necessary.
Collaborate with team members and help define architecture.
What we're looking for...
You need to have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Aviation, or related discipline or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience in Mobile/Software Engineering.
Five or more years in a leadership position with direct reports.
Three or more years of technical program, project management experience.
Three or more years of experience implementing, building and maintaining mobile applications.
Even better if you have:
Experience managing third-party contract resources.
A proven track record of building and mentoring high performing teams.
Excellent communication skills. Collaboration with teams.
Demonstrated experience with Agile Engineering teams.
Experience with compliance related projects (SOC 2).
Aviation experience or a FAA Part 107 Certificate.
