We are pleased to consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, creed, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding or related medical conditions, marital status, registered domestic partner status, family-care status, veteran status, military status, age, national origin or ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, sexual orientation, or any other category protected by applicable federal, state or local law or ordinance.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Will employ a number of duties in the areas of accounting, project support, and a variety of accounting duties, including but not limited to the following:+ Assist with the accounting for acquisitions and dispositions+ Prepare settlement statement package for management review to facilitate in the closing of acquisitions and dispositions+ Prepare purchase accounting analysis in accordance with ASC 805+ Work with the business managers and the Finance team to obtain supporting documents to support the purchase price allocation+ Prepare sales analysis, held for sale criteria, and recoverability analysis+ Prepare post-closing reconciliations such as reconciliation of actual expenses and revenues received subsequent to closing+ Perform technical research and prepare technical accounting memo for accounting topics such as consolidation accounting for joint venture acquisitions, real estate impairment, and held for sale criteria+ Assist the business managers with the preparation of ad-hoc analysis as part of the due diligence process such as preparing reporting package template for joint venture agreement exhibit, property income statement, property revenue and expense support, etc.+ Assist with internal and external audit requests, including addressing auditors' comments for timely sign off on all transactions+ Assist with the onboarding of new acquisitions, including coordinating with various accounting teams (AR, AP, Property Accounting, Treasury, etc.) to set-up new general ledgers, bank accounts, reviewing lease set-up for CAM reconciliation, etc.+ Provide financial reporting support for the preparation of the Company's 10Q/10K SEC filings and quarterly supplemental reporting+ Assist with the coordination of internal and external audit process+ Assist with risk mitigation projects including reviewing of various accounting processes such as lease set-up packages, loan compliance requirements, and month-end close process+ Participate in ad-hoc projects such as process improvement projects, department goals and initiatives, and other special projectsQualifications and Experience:+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration+ CPA preferred+ 4+ years of Accounting experience required+ Public Accounting experience is required+ Experience in real estate valuation is a plus+ Public commercial real estate experience preferred+ Proficient in Technical US GAAP Accounting+ Detail-oriented and strong analytical skills+ Experience in financial statement preparation and general ledger accounting+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines+ Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels including, but not limited to HQ/field personnel, senior management, and outside parties+ Proficient in business related software: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.+ JD Edwards Accounting software experience desirable
