You will succeed in this Staff Accountant position if you can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. Other responsibilities include internal reporting during the monthly close, participation in compliance, interaction with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. What you get to do every single day

• Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation

• Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

• Partake in various department-wide initiatives

• Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

• Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision

• Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

• Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting

• Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner

• Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions

• In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

• Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting

Requirements

• Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

• ERP system experience

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

• Ability to meet deadlines

• Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Expertise in general ledger

• Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Competent with spreadsheets and databases

• Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills

• 2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

• Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
