An innovative company is looking to bring a Senior Financial Analyst onto their growing team. This opportunity would be a short-term temporary position. The Senior Financial Analyst consultant is in charge of project spending, planning, forecasting, and annual budgeting, serving as the primary point of contact for all financial issues. You will need to provide decision-making support for future company investments, as well as perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments in support of public reporting requirements. This Senior Financial Analyst position is located in Glendale, California.
How you will make an impact
Influence the development of repeatable business, operational, and financial processes for all necessary teams
Work closely with the Functional leads to provide management reporting, accounting and compliance guidance plus ensure alignment of operational initiatives
Execute monthly and quarterly reporting to senior management by analyzing financial results, synthesizing/distilling key trends, assessing future and current business risks, and articulating critical updates
Build advantageous relationships with integral business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership
Implement financial analysis as part of business performance optimization
Collaborate with Operations and Accounting to drive improved management reporting by tracking financial results more discreetly and accurately
Provide dynamic support for all ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests
Evaluate financial results, summarize key issues, and articulate integral messages to senior management in order to drive existing management reporting
CPA or MBA preferred
Finance or Business BA/BS degree or one in a related field required
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to apply critical thinking and critical decision making skills with management
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint
Deep understanding of IBM Cognos TM2
Knowledge of Cognos
Adeptness in budget forecasting
Foundational knowledge in TM1
Comprehensive knowledge of SAP
Budgeting experience highly desired
Demonstrated knowledge of forecasting
Familiarity in office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended
Ability to work cross functionally and influence appropriately
Efficient with process reengineering and optimization
Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
