Description Candidates looking for short-term temporary work as a Senior Financial Analyst will be interested in this opening with one of our clients. Glendale, California will be the location for this Senior Financial Analyst. This is a position for someone who wants to be our client's primary point of contact for all financial issues, including project spending, planning, forecasting and annual budgeting. To thrive in this Senior Financial Analyst consultant role, you will need to perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments supporting public reporting requirements, and provide decision-making support for future company investments.
Analyze financial results, distill/synthesize key trends, assess current and future business risks, and communicate critical updates to senior leadership all in the course of preparing monthly and quarterly management reports
Power existing management reporting by evaluating financial results, distilling and synthesizing issues, and articulating key updates to senior-level staff
Influence the development of repeatable business, operational, and financial processes for all necessary teams
Provide management reporting, accounting and compliance guidance, and ensure alignment of operational initiatives by working closely with the Functional leads
Collaborate with Operations and Accounting to drive improved management reporting by tracking financial results more discreetly and accurately
Execute assistance in all ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests
Implement financial analysis as part of business performance optimization
Cultivate positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership Requirements - BA/BS degree in Finance, Business or related field
navigating basic office equipment and protocols experience desired
Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
Efficient with process reengineering and optimization
Proven knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Familiarity in office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended
Proven ability to work cross functionally and influence key decision makers
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Ability to think critically and interact with management
