Candidates with the ability to to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be preferred. If you want to participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes, this role might be right for you. This position is ideal for someone with a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.
Your responsibilities in this role
Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision
Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting
Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request
Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation
In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process
Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable
Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
BS/BA in accounting and 3+ years large company public audit or general ledger experience. CPA preferred
