Job Description

As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a vital role in monitoring operations to ensure they meet production standards. You will be responsible for recommending adjustments to assembly or production processes, performing inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products, and inspecting parts at various stages of production. You will measure products using calipers, gauges, or micrometers and decide whether to accept or reject finished items, removing all products and materials that fail to meet specifications. You will also discuss inspection results with product managers and report inspection and test data.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operations to ensure production standards are met.

• Recommend adjustments to assembly or production processes.

• Perform quality control inspections, checks, and tests during product manufacture.

• Inspect parts and products at different production stages.

• Measure products with calipers, gauges, or micrometers.

• Accept or reject finished items based on specifications.

• Remove products and materials failing to meet specifications.

• Discuss inspection results with responsible parties.

• Report inspection and test data.

• Provide relief support as needed.

• Assist with on-the-job training for interim employees.

Essential Skills

• Experience in quality control and quality inspection.

• Basic math skills.

• Some computer skills.

• Attention to detail.

• Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• ISO experience is a plus but not required.

• Positive attitude with a focus on company culture.

• Good attendance record, adhering to strict attendance policy.

Work Environment

This position requires working in a climate-controlled facility from 11pm to 7:30am, Monday to Friday. The dress code includes pants or jeans, long sleeve shirts with appropriate writing, closed-toe tennis shoes, and safety equipment provided.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
