Specifications are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.SUMMARY The Direct Support Operations Manager, supervises supply technicians ensuring that contacts with units are maintained and reviews issues supporting units, to include requests for supplies, repairs, exchanges and training.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES+ Coordinates and manages a staff of six Direct Support Operations Representatives that provide direct logistical support to Units and Teams Nationwide while ensuring compliance with Military regulatory requirements. + Daily functions involve managing 2407 Request of equipment to the vendor for repair. + Manage the processing of requests from units that require issue from Authorized Stockage List (ASL) stock or pass to Procurement. + Prepare, manage and track fielding of new equipment and or modifications to existing equipment to ensure completion in timely and accurate manner within budgeting requirements. + Monitor temporary loans and retrieval of equipment. + Manages and monitors assigned tasks and special projects from National Guard Bureau. + Prepare and maintain statistical data used to analyze, prepare slides and brief National Guard Bureau and Contract Representatives. + Maintains knowledge of all program logistics activities+ Trains supply technicians for deployment in support of training and real-world missions+ Assists in planning and coordinating of Consequence Management services+ Supervises six supply technicians QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION Required (Minimum) Qualifications+ Bachelor's Degree+ Three years supervisory experience+ Proficient with MS Office Suite + Excellent communication skills Knowledge, Skills and Abilities + Familiar with military logistics + The ability to assist in technical briefings, research and gather data+ Ability to maintain contact with units and review issues+ The ability to plan and coordinate Consequence Management Support Services Preferred + Prior military and or disaster recovery experienced+ Prior Logistics experiencePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
