Lowe's Summer Internship Program Overview
Lowe's 2022 Summer Internship Program offers a challenging, project-based opportunity for undergraduate students to enhance their understanding of the retail business world through valuable, hands-on experience with a FORTUNE ® 50 company. The internship will provide broad learning, experience, organizational knowledge, and business acumen. We are looking for:

The summer internship program begins with orientation on May 31st and concludes on August 5th. All internships are paid opportunities. This role has potential for conversion into a full-time position for those that successfully complete their internship and required education. And qualified interns will be eligible for Lowe's housing benefit.
Areas of Learning
The Test Program Engineering Internship role will be assigned a project to support the Domestically Sourced Private Brand Testing Program.
Lowe's Domestic Private Brand Process Development Project:
Analyze existing processes for:
• Identifying Lowe's vendors who don't currently comply with requirements
• Reaching out to vendors to educate and inform on program requirements
• Follow-up and/or escalate those vendors who fail to comply
• Tracking and reporting against all activity
Recommend opportunities to improve existing processes for efficiency and effectiveness
Gain alignment on any process changes with existing Testing Program Engineers
Develop new or refine existing tools (spreadsheets, databases, etc.) to support the process and drive continuous improvement
Identify an effective communication approach to train and onboard new vendors, and improve compliance
Begin executing the communication process and onboarding of new vendors
Deliverables for this project include:
• New/revised process maps
• New/refined tools (spreadsheets, databases, etc.)
• Final Intern Project Presentation
Measure of Success: Marked increase in the number of vendors which are actively being onboarded at the completion of the project.
Education and/or Experience:
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Business or related field with an expected graduation date of December 2022 or May 2023
Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA is required
Proficient in MS Office Programs (specifically Word, Excel, Visio and Power Point)
Strong collaborative, problem solving, analytical, communication skills, along with financial and business acumen are required
Product testing and/or design experience is preferred
Relevant internship and process improvement experience is a plus, as is experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization
