Our reputable client is seeking a VP of Finance to join the company. As part of the management team, they must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills. Are you are an experienced VP/Director of Finance looking for a challenging role at an established company? Then this may be the role for you.

This is a 100% onsite work schedule. (Westside)

Qualifications

CPA is required.

Prior experience with Yardi is strongly preferred.

10-15 yrs. of progressive leadership experience.

Your responsibilities in this role

• Perform financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions

• Prepare financial outlooks and forecasts

• Evaluate and sustain forecasting and budgeting models

• Establish short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures

• Collaborate with department managers to develop five-year business plans

• Supervise all operations of the finance and accounting department

• Manage the organizational structure of the department in order to achieve goals and objectives

• Suggest benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance

• Oversee the preparation of all financial reports

• Manage the hiring, training, and retention of finance staff

• Take ownership of insurance and risk management

• Own financial planning and budget management functions

• Adhere to local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements

• Compare monthly operating results against budget

Requirements - 10+ years of finance and accounting experience

• Experience with multiple accounting and financial reporting systems

• Experience with higher level functionality in Microsoft Excel

• Extremely detailed and analytical

• Prior experience with finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting

• MBA or CPA is preferred
