    this is hybrid work schedule, will be filled in either Lumberton, NC or Richmond, VA

    Manage a team of user acceptance testers that are responsible to coordinate, oversee and provide input to business testing efforts that have been deemed necessary in order to fully validate a technical or process change that impacts the Mortgage line of business. Provide coaching and support to teammates across all aspects of their duties, and including the adoption of Agile practices. Commit to finding efficiencies and process enhancements in the spirit of constant improvement and growth for the team.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Manage a team of business user acceptance testers, made up of eight to twelve full time employees, and augmented as needed with contract labor.

    2. Provide strategic leadership, directing short-term and long-range planning and budget development to support strategic business goals related.

    3. Responsible for managing and leading people, effectively building organization and staff capacity, developing a top-notch workforce and the processes that ensure the organization runs smoothly

    4. Advocate for test quality and consistency.

    5. Resolve issues that impede testing effort.

    6. Ensure that all systems and processes owned by Mortgage are designed to establish compliance within their processes to address concerns of all federal and state regulations.

    7. Work closely with other key members of the Center of Enablement team to ensure a holistic understanding of a given change is understood.

    8. Focus on growing the capabilities and skills of user acceptance testing teammates.

    9. Promote adoption of Agile practices, tools, and approaches.

    10. Participate in various departmental projects, as assigned, to include preparation activities related to the next software release.

    11. Identify potential areas of process/system improvement and best practices to reduce non-value added process variation and improve service quality and efficiency.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    1. Bachelors' degree, or a minimum of five years of equivalent work related experience.

    2. Adaptable, flexible, and with strong problem solving skills.

    3. Highly analytical and organized, with an inherent understanding of how to prioritize multiple important initiatives and drive a team to achieve the necessary timelines.

    4. Demonstrated success in leading and coaching a diverse staff of qualified professionals.

    5. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

    6. Ability to lead executive level meetings.

    7. Conceptual ability to analyze problems and devise solutions.

    8. Effective in building and maintaining strong relationships across multiple levels of an organization.

    9. Ability to understand complex business process with multiple variables, and to communicate and share knowledge with teammates in an effective manner.

    Preferred Qualifications

    1. Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Design, or Technology field; banking or financial management education.

    2. QA experience within the financial services or mortgage industry.

    3. Sound working knowledge of Mortgage and holistic banking, products, services, operations, finance and systems

    4. Certified SAFe(r) Agilist or other relevant qualifications.
