How will you make a difference?
The Transit and European Regional Controller leads the Controllership function for the Company's Transit Segment and European region. The Transit Segment (~$2.7 billion in revenue) primarily manufactures and services components for new and existing passenger transit vehicles, typically regional trains, high speed trains, subway cars, light-rail vehicles and buses; supplies rail control and infrastructure products including electronics, signal design and engineering services; and refurbishes passenger transit vehicles. The Transit and European Regional Controller partners with the Transit and European finance teams to ensure the integrity of financial information, analyze financial performance, and maximize forecasting accuracy. This role is also responsible for maintaining financial controls, managing statutory reporting, and identifying and implementing process improvements.
What do we want to know about you?
Minimum of 8 years of accounting/finance experience
Public accounting and/or public company manufacturing experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance; MBA or similar a plus
CPA or similar certification
Proficient in US GAAP and IFRS
Oracle and OneStream experience a plus
Ability to communicate effectively across functions and with executives
Ability to build professional and productive relationships within the organization
Travels and works overtime as required

What will your typical day look like?
Provide technical accounting guidance to business leaders to support the financial analysis of commercial agreements
Serve as a trusted business partner and advisor to the segment finance leadership team
Analyze customer contracts to ensure compliance with US GAAP and international standards
Advise US and international finance teams on accounting treatment for non-standard and/or judgmental transactions
Develop and maintain business-specific policies to drive consistent internal controls, accounting and financial reporting
Lead the month-end close process, including trouble-shooting ad-hoc issues, with support from the finance and global operations teams
Prepare and present financial information to corporate and business leadership
Support the contract performance margin review process to ensure that remaining billings and costs for long-term customer contracts are accurately forecasted
Collaborate with various functions across the organization to identify and implement process improvements and policy harmonization
Manage the relationship with internal and external auditors and other service providers
Manage the statutory reporting process for the company's European region, supporting the Country Controllers where applicable
Lead the accounting support of all new major project implementations
Manage and approve the standard costing and intercompany processes for the Transit business segment
