Systems Test Engineer

Description

-Perform Product Validation from a customer perspective for new products and features

-Develop test strategies, requirements, plans, procedures and test cases for feature validation

-Execute test cases, including customer applications when available, in labs and/or at field sites, and verifies RF data accuracy

-Write defect reports and enter into defect tracking system as necessary; verifies fixes

-Contribute domain knowledge and experience to enhance product functionality, usability, and quality

-Support PCTEL's product development team by providing customer-centric feedback concerning the features and performance of PCTEL's products

-Work with minimum supervision

-Work with Technical Support, and directly with customers, to investigate customer issues and integration thru analysis and experience

-Work effectively as a team member with Engineering, Technical Support, and Quality

• P25 Public Safety Network exposure/experience

-Minimum 5 years related-work experiences

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

-Associates degree in Electrical/Electronics or related field, or equivalent practical experience

-Minimum 5 years related-work experience

-Exposure or intermediate experience with testing and troubleshooting P25 public safety networks

-Verbal and written communication skills in the English language

-Skills in problem identification, investigation, and issue resolution

-Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

-Customer-facing situations and presentations

-Interacting cross-functionally with various departments, especially Product Management, Engineering & Technical Support

The Hardware Engineer will have the opportunity to be involved with the entire product design life cycle including design, verification, testing, debugging and production support.
