  • Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking to hire a Supplier Quality Engineering professional to support our Missiles and Fire Control campus in Camden, Arkansas.

    Our operations utilize state of the art processes to produce and validate hardware for sophisticated missile systems and associated launch vehicles.

    For assigned area of responsibility SQE plans, organizes, and reports on supplier quality related activities such as raw materials, packaging materials, as well as providing input for purchase order requirements. Ensure control of supplier nonconforming items, conducts analyses and monitors effectiveness of corrective actions. Collaborates with internal engineering, manufacturing functions, and external suppliers to ensure quality standards are in place. Monitors quality control activities and systems at supplier and subcontractor facilities as requested and maintains feedback loops. When called upon, performs source surveillance & validation at supplier, audits, third party manufacturers, and performs special process audits.

    The Supplier Quality Engineer will work on complex technical problems and provide solutions that are highly innovative and ingenious, act independently to uncover and resolve issues, and will participate in teams assembled to accomplish long-range objectives.

    The Supplier Quality Engineer will collaborate with other disciplines to include manufacturing engineers, tool technicians, manufacturing support personnel, suppliers, and the customer on assembly and production operations and will keep up to date on related industry best practices.

    The Locale: Camden is a city in southern Arkansas and is located on the Ouachita River. Camden is approximately a two-hour drive south from Little Rock, AR. Camden is part of the Timberlands region of Arkansas. Timber, oil, deer hunting, bass fishing... These are words commonly used when people speak about the Timberlands of Arkansas. It's a region with rich natural resources that was discovered by pioneers from the eastern United States in the early 1800s. The abundant natural resources of the Timberlands are still attracting people today. Visitors enjoy the legacy of those pioneers by visiting sites ranging from 1800s log cabins and restored Victorian homes to local museums and colorful murals that tell the history of this land. Communities located within an hour or two from Camden include Little Rock AR, Texarkana AR, Hot Springs AR, and Shreveport, LA.

    Basic Qualifications:

    -Bachelor's Degree in STEM discipline or equivalent combined education/experience.

    -Have advanced knowledge of quality systems, demonstrated use of standard problem solving, troubleshooting tools and root cause analysis skills.

    -Ability to perform floor support functions and make appropriate quality decisions.

    -Good communications and presentation skills.

    -Experience dealing with receipt of supplied product or dealing with a supply base relative to Quality assurance activities.

    -Well versed in GD&T, interpreting drawings and standards.

    -Experience using various inspection measurement tools, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.

    -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration.

    -Ability to obtain a secret security clearance therefore must be a US Citizen.

    -Ability to work with and around explosives.

    Desired Skills:

    -Experienced in working with suppliers on quality assurance needs.

    -Manufacturing environment exposure and process improvement experience preferred.

    -Defense contractor or military contractor experience desired.

    -Working knowledge of SAP preferred.

    -Working knowledge of GD&T, FMEA's, other Root Cause and Corrective action processes.

    -Experience in Six-Sigma green belt techniques and statistical process control methods preferred.

    Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
