As a Senior Sustaining Engineer with a focus on Maintenance Excellence, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and effectiveness of our company's products and systems throughout their lifecycle. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address maintenance-related issues, implement improvements, and drive continuous optimization of maintenance processes.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Supports in-service operating systems to ensure continued operation and maintenance and optimization throughout.

• Determines, selects and implements technically feasible and economically viable alternatives for sustainment.

• Analyses and evaluates how to improve a system and/or equipment's sustainability under continued operation, maintenance and unexpected change.

• Develops and implement strategies to optimize maintenance practices and procedures.

• Collects and evaluates service use and maintenance data; conducts root-cause analyses of in-service problems (e.g., operational hazards, deficiency reports, parts obsolescence, corrosion effects, reliability and maintainability trends, safety hazards, and failure causes and effects) and implements corrective action.

• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure products are designed for easy maintenance.

• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track maintenance effectiveness.

• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and maintenance staff.

• Drive initiatives to reduce maintenance costs and increase equipment uptime.

• Develop and maintain maintenance documentation and procedures.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors degree required in Engineering

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience

• Must Have, Proven track record of implementing maintenance best practices and driving process improvements.

• Must Have, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams.

• Must Have, Knowledge of reliability engineering principles

• Must Have, Proficiency in maintenance management software tools.

• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certified.

• Project Management certified.

• Lean Méthodologies knowledge.

• Professional certification in maintenance management.

• Experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector.

• Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies.

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for maintenance in specific industries.

Qualifications:

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Commitment to promoting a culture of safety and excellence in maintenance operations.
