Sr. Electrical Engineer - High Voltage

CANDIDATES MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR U.S. SECURITY CLEARANCE

Description

1. Leading E/E High Voltage and High Power activities from start to finish including design, component selection, packaging testing and validation

2. Defining requirements for HV/LV interface, Power & Signal Distribution, ECUs, Fuses, Relays, Modules, and functionality

3. Creating architecture, developing calculations related to loads on HV and LV areas

4. Responsible for defining testing and validation scope (Bench, HIL, SIL, etc.)

5. Contributing to systems engineering activities such as DFMEAs, DVPs, etc.

6. Preparing detailed documentation, including schematics, bill of materials (BOM), and design specifications, to facilitate manufacturing and troubleshooting

7. Ensuring that designs comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations, such as ISO 26262, UL, and IEC standards

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must Haves

1. Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field

2. 10+ Years of hands on experience in design, release and testing of E/E components and assemblies (high voltage distribution modules, inverters, converters, etc.) and associated fuses, relays, and other ECUs

3. Knowledge of electric vehicles, li-ion batteries, high voltage distribution boxes, ECUs, etc.

4. Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, SPI, I2C, and UART, RS485

5. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail for debugging and troubleshooting

6. Experience with MATLAB Simulink, Labview, and/or Altium 365

7. Good communication skills and detail-oriented
