    What's Encouraged Daily

    • In this hybrid role, you will serve as a technical authority in the analog functional team for Nand projects, participating in pathfinding activities for upcoming projects or tech nodes, including CMOS scaling efforts, architecture definition, helping to solve sophisticated technical problems and shaping strategic decisions, focusing on the analog circuit and system design and NAND yield problem-solving.

    • You will serve as an alignment authority in the analog functional team for Nand projects and are encouraged to drive alignment of design solutions, methodologies, and circuits across a distributed matrix organization across different design teams in different time zones.

    • You will serve as an execution authority in the analog functional team for Nand projects, involved in project planning according to project milestones, coordinating with team members, and ensuring that tasks are completed according to project timelines.

    • You will provide technical consultations on analog design and CMOS development, being a recognized Micron content expert and technical authority on analog circuits and their interface towards Core, Firmware, Logic, Layout, area reductions, and performance improvements.

    • You will represent the analog team in multi-functional task forces and meetings and help develop analog team project requirements and standards. You will be encouraged to provide insights into external technological development in Nand design applicable to analog design.

    • You will evaluate design feasibility and analyze circuit functionalities, implement analog and mixed signal circuit design to meet specifications, and validate design performance and functionalities by running block and chip level simulations using standard industry simulators, creating clear and effective documentation.

    • You will lead by example analog functional projects to improve design methodology, collaboration tools, and task automation.

    • You will define strategy and direct layout implementation according to performance and matching specifications to reach optimal circuit size.

    • You will support the efforts of groups such as Product Engineering, Test, Probe, Process Integration, Assembly, and Marketing to proactively design products to optimize all manufacturing functions and ensure the best cost, quality, root-cause analysis, reliability, time-to-market, and customer satisfaction.

    How To Qualify

    • The level of the role depends on your experience.

    • MS or Ph.D with 10+ years of industry experience in the semiconductor industry

    • Self-motivated, result-oriented, and a teammate (on the same team and outside of the team)

    • The ability to work well with others and collaborate in a global team environment.

    • Be able to lead team members in a design project environment, empower the team, and drive the team to higher performances.

    • Good verbal communication skills (English) and ability to convey sophisticated technical concepts in verbal and written form.

    • Expertise in the design of NAND Flash memory analog circuits, and their physical layout considerations concerning floorplan area, performance, power, and reliability.

    • The ability to perform risk/benefit analysis of new analog circuits aligned to NAND algorithms before implementation.

    • An understanding of CMOS device physics and reliability issues including CHC, NBTI, stress, and snapback, as well as Electromigration (EM) and IR analysis

    • Experience working with mask designers by providing appropriate documentation and following a rigorous quality process.

    • The ability to interact with Product Engineers during silicon debugging and be able to diagnose circuit failures from silicon data.

    • Knowledge of analog and digital simulators such as HSPICE, Fast SPICE, Verilog, Cadence/LVS/DRC tools, and facilitating platforms such as JAMA, JIRA, Unix, and scripting languages (Python).

    The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

    $187,000.00 - $360,000.00

    Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
