Outstanding Menlo Park client of Robert Half is looking for a Senior Accountant, who will be interested in a fast paced role. You will be in charge of preparing reconciliations, month end close, analyzing and reconciling bank accounts, and preparing audits, as well as managing internal reporting. Crucial components of the role include analytical skills and an ability to handle a challenging, fast-paced work culture. This permanent IN-OFFICE Senior Accountant role is based in Menlo Park, CA. How you will make an impact

• Reconciliations, month end close duties and participate in various department-wide initiatives

• Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

• Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests

• Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations

• Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

• Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations

Requirements - 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

• ERP system experience

• Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance

• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

• Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

• Prior work done in public accounting is desired

• General ledger experience desired

• Auditing experience highly desired

• Adeptness in Microsoft Excel

• US GAAP experience

• Command of GAAP Accounting

• Bank reconciliations experience

• Demonstrated knowledge of Pivot Table

• Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)

• Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

• High attention to detail

• Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
