Sr. Accountant

Robert Half is currently seeking an experienced, organized Senior Accountant to join their team for a permanent opportunity in the Bellevue, Washington area. As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. What you get to do every single day

• Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP

• Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process

• When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests

• Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives

• Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations

• Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

• Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes

• Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary

• Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000.

Requirements

• Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

• Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

• Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"

• Experience in SOX control execution/documentation

• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

• 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

• Skilled with ERP systems

• Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

• Strong communication and social skills

• General ledger experience preferred

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Practical knowledge of Daily Cash Receipts

• Well-founded grasp of Process Improvement

• Deep understanding of auditing

• General familiarity with reconciliations

• Quality experience with payroll

• Month end closings experience desired

• Expertise in financial analysis

• Proven knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus

• Exceptional time management skills preferred
