Job Summary and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY

The Sleep Lab Tech: Verifies the medical order and procedure. Gathers data through PSG studies. Completes and verify documentation. These Sleep Studies procedures require rational judgment, as well as associated clerical duties. He/she works to fulfill the hospital and departmental mission, vision, and values.

Performs a variety of Sleep Studies as well as assists in the scoring of those Sleep Studies after a specified period of time. Promotes a supportive environment that encourages collegiality. Explain the procedure and orient the patient to the sleep center.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or GED required. Basic Life Support Certification required. Must have knowledge of healthcare terminology. Must possess basic computer skills.

Completion of an approved Sleep Disorders program course with a passing test grade

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• Bachelors Degree
