    Job Summary and Qualifications

    Under the direction of the HCA Maintenance Manager the HCA Senior Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day distribution center's maintenance and repairs. They will have strong knowledge of automation, electrical and mechanical systems and facility maintenance, will direct and coordinate activities, including preventive maintenance, continuous optimization and improvement of production equipment and automation systems, will support training, support and provide guidance to maintenance teams, managing all installation, repair, and upkeep of operation and equipment, build strong vendor relationships and develop maintenance procedures.

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Motivate and train Maintenance Technicians.

    • Support all maintenance shifts as needed.

    • Record, track and report all Maintenance KPIs, to include MTTR, MTBF, MTTF.

    • Ensure the daily operation of equipment, conveyor, automation, electrical, and mechanical systems.

    • Experienced working with electrical single and triple phase power.

    • Support engineering director and maintenance manager to negotiate contracts for execution of maintenance work.

    • Communicate regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production.

    • Support maintenance manager with developing HCA's maintenance management plan.

    • Develop workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.

    • Understand technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) to repair/maintain equipment.

    • Strong understanding level of mechanical, air and fluid systems.

    • Strong understanding of PLC, electrical, and automation systems and equipment maintenance and repair.

    • Accurately complete reports and administrative records.

    • Perform root cause analysis.

    • Comply with EHS, OSHA policies and procedures.

    • Ensure plumbing system is operable at all times.

    • Experience working with Building Management Systems.

    • Follow city, state, federal, and EPA air conditioning and refrigeration record keeping requirements and procedures are met as to the maintenance, service, repair, and disposal of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and refrigerant.

    • Knowledge of HVAC systems to replace Air filters, clear out drain pans, waste lines, coil cleaning, and replacing miscellaneous parts as needed.

    • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders.

    • Assess needs for repair and maintenance of the facility, conveyors and automation components both through surveying and receiving requests from various departments (i.e. administrative, production, facilities, and visitors).

    • Periodic quality checks on facility, conveyor, automation systems and components to ensure functional operability.

    • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools.

    • Implement the tasks set forth in preventative maintenance procedures as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

    • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

    • Ability to plan and schedule repairs within the day-to-day operations of the distribution center environment.

    • Maintain open lines of communication with all areas and departments to ensure department managers are aware of maintenance requests that have been requested as well as maintenance activities currently in progress.

    • Maintain preventive maintenance excel form or CMMS system for accuracy.

    • Resolve basic facility maintenance/repairs of entrances, restrooms, docks, doors, etc..

    • Inspect and replace all damaged pallet racking.

    • Train on all Material Handling Equipment (MHE)

    • Support all MHE battery extractions as needed.

    • Keeps storage areas, tools, and equipment secure at all times.

    • Maintain the Distribution Center (DC) in clean and hygienic condition.

    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    • Practices and adheres to the "Code of Conduct" and "Mission and Value Statement."

    • Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English.

    • Promote continuous improvement.

    • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.

    Experience and Certifications:

    • High School Graduate or GED equivalency Preferred

    • 3-5 years relevant maintenance work experience in a distribution center setting. Required

    • Proficient in managing general, facilities, equipment and systems maintenance. Required

    • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office. Required

    • Bi-lingual Spanish speaker a plus. Preferred

    • Certificate in a building trade, building maintenance technology or relevant field. Preferred HVAC Excellence Certification Preferred

    • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT) Preferred
