Senior Java Developer

Description: The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of very large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for alignment to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific guidance to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new.

NOTE: This position requires an active Department of Defense TS/SCI W/POLY Security and US citizenship for selection.

Basic Qualifications:

Candidate must possess security clearance with a polygraph

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related subject area and Twenty (20) years of experience.

Four (4) years of additional experience may be substituted for a degree.

The CNK team supports a set of cloud based analytics; these analytics are built on the corporate infrastructure and incorporates various technologies

• Experience with MapReduce and Pig is highly desired

• Experience with Software Configuration Management Tools such as JIRA, GIT, Confluence and Agile Methodologies

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
