SMX is seeking an experienced Senior Director Capture with deep experience driving, shaping, and capturing large, complex deals in the Federal and Public Sector markets. This position was established to qualify and capture major ($100M+) government acquisitions for our Digital Solutions Group. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that is focused on successful pursuit, capture, and winning proposals. Efforts include driving capture and proposal readiness from early positioning and shaping efforts, to development and implementation of win strategies, through pre-Request for Proposal activities, and continuing through written/oral proposal development, negotiations, award and transition. Proven track record of successful capture and proposal management on highly-strategic $100M+ bids and orchestrating multi-disciplined resourcing against pipeline priorities. This is a hybrid role working out of our Herndon, VA office.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum 12+ years combined experience with any of the following: strategic capture, proposal development, solutions development, and/or costing and pricing.

• Minimum 8+ years' experience as a capture manager developing and leading multiple capture efforts that have won major Federal, State, or Local Government contracts totaling at least $100 million in the last 3 years.

• Must be eligible to obtain U.S. security clearance.

• Prior experience with structured Capture/Proposal Methodologies.

• Track record of successfully capturing and winning multi-year new business RFPs

• Experience interacting with and briefing senior government and industry acquisition officials

• Understanding the full business development lifecycle and has been successful in various customer domains within the federal markets

• Proactive, organized, aggressive, and highly-skilled professional

• Experience with contributing to proposals and the RFI, RFQ, or RFP process

• Strong communication and presentation skills, while maintaining a positive attitude, strong drive for results

• Collaborative and proactive work across SMX to achieve broader company growth objectives while maintaining connectivity to the program/contract executing managers

• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence

Desired Skills & Experience

• Active clearance preferred

• Master's degree in business or technical field preferred.
