    What you will do

    Let's do this. Let's change the world. In this vital role you employ a variety of molecular and cellular biology techniques to support the progression of therapeutic candidates from discovery to early clinical development. You will be an integral member of a dynamic team comprising scientific and technical experts focused on biomarker research, and collaborate closely with other functional groups, including Oncology Therapeutic Area, Clinical Biomarker & Diagnostics, Computational Biology, Pharmacokinetics & Drug Metabolism, Translational & Safety Pharmacology and Human Genetics.

    • Discover, validate and quantify target engagement and patient selection biomarker candidates for multiple oncology pipelines

    • Employ a wide variety of techniques and platforms to develop and translate pre-clinical biomarker data to clinical biomarker assay development

    • Independently design, perform, and analyze laboratory experiments, including troubleshooting, optimization of assays, data collection, interpretation, statistical analysis, and presentation

    • Collaborate with biomarker scientists in the oncology therapeutic areas and work closely with other functional groups

    We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The Scientist we seek is an experienced bench biologist with these qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications:

    PhD

    Or

    Master's degree and 3 year of experience in molecular/cellular biology research experience

    Or

    Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in molecular/cellular biology research experience

    And

    Deep understanding and bench skills in genomics methodologies and CRISPR

    And

    Basic knowledge of cancer biology and statistics.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience in executing laboratory experiments in industry or academic settings

    • Strong technical skills or expertise in several of the following areas (ranked by importance): cell culture and transfection, RNA/DNA isolation, quantitative PCR, ChIP, immunohistochemistry and imaging, ELISA/Luminex/MSD, western blotting

    • 3D cell culture experience

    • Demonstrated track record of critical independent thinking, troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to work independently and effectively in a dynamic environment

    • Willingness to learn and apply new technologies to develop impactful biomarker hypotheses and fit-for-purpose assays

    • Proven ability to multitask to meet aggressive timelines and execute deliverables

    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
