A global leading automotive manufacturer is looking for a Product Engineer to join their team near Lockport, New York. This is a top 3 global company with more than 70,000 employees and over $12.5B in revenue. This Engineer's main focus will be product research and development from cradle to grave.

The salary is commensurate with experience up to $95K plus an annual bonus, relocation, and excellent health/retirement benefits. All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

responsibilities

• Designing and developing AC compressor components working with design personnel.

• Developing and authoring engineering specifications for components and assemblies to be used in manufacturing facilities to mass-produce compressor components and assemblies

• Utilize DFMEA/PFMEA processes to provide a robust design prior to mass production

• Blueprint reading and interpretation & specification of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

• Assist with preparation and execution of test units

• Analyze test data and organize results relative to internal or customer specifications with observations and conclusions

• Participate in innovation, product cost and quality improvement initiatives

• Work with suppliers and manufacturing plants to insure product design for high value and manufacturability
