  • Product Engineer

    You will be responsible for providing support of both internal and customer-funded projects/programs in line with the strategic priorities of the company. This position is primarily responsible for supporting execution of all overhaul, logistics, engineering, training, and various programmatic activities for programs contracted with NAVAIR, a key strategic customer. The position will primarily be in support of fielded arresting gear products or similar military product lines.

    The product engineer role will mainly focused on supporting the M31 Mobile Arresting Gear product line. Experience with United States Government and Department of Defense contracts is also valuable.

    Your Challenge

    • Customer Property Management

    • Ensure inventory and associated quantities are accurately maintained in physical warehouse and electronically in ESCO ERP system

    • Ensure that incoming material is inspected, stored and issued in accordance with all internal and U.S. Government procedures in the bonded warehouse located at the ESCO facility

    • Coordinate with customer on questions and issues pertaining to the inventory control point

    • Logistics

    • Serve as the primary customer POC for the management and execution of customer orders from initial order entry through shipment

    • Support and coordinate shipment of entire customer inventory from current location to multiple Air Bases throughout USA

    • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on the material and financial status along with effectiveness of the supply point activities

    • Depot Overhauls

    • Manage and oversee the Depot Overhaul facility including the execution of up to three (3) M31 system overhauls per year.

    • Serve as the primary M31 Depot Overhaul Manager responsible for ensuring the M31 system overhaul execution per contractual requirements inclusive of scope, budget, and schedule

    • Utilize ERP system to monitor/track overhaul status including material allocations, subcontracted services, quality inspections, customer furnished material and planning dates

    • Closely collaborate with engineering to support in-process overhaul technical issues through the duration of the overhaul

    • Serve as the primary customer, technical, and planning liaison with ESCO Operations Department including shop technicians throughout overhaul duration

    • Engineering and Field Support

    • Assist M31 engineering team and NAVAIR with equipment related technical tasks including engineering-change-proposals, obsolescence management, equipment troubleshooting, and service changes

    • Provide remote support pertaining to any USMC Fleet inquiries for active fielded M31 systems

    • Training

    • Conduct up to two (2) off-site training courses (classroom and hands-on) directly with customer focused on equipment troubleshooting

    • Assist in the continuous improvement of training material

    • Program Management Support

    • Assist the M31 Program Manager with routine tasks including financial reporting, schedule development, proposal development, and preparation of meeting/agenda material

    • 2-4+ years in an Aerospace / Defense preferred; Other industry and/or previous US Military Experience acceptable

    • Experience with domestic and international Government customers desired

    • Bachelors in engineering or related field preferred; Working towards bachelor degree also acceptable
