  • Description:

    Assists with administration and support of Honeywell TDC/TPS process control system and related systems and interfaces in a large petrochemical facility.

    • Designs and administers computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.

    • Maintains PCN and DMZ networks and ensure the network remains secure through both hardware/software configuration and end-user training.

    • Collects, monitors, and optimizes server performance and capacity to keep up with demand in online traffic.

    • Troubleshoots and resolves network, hardware, and software issues and performs routine maintenance on these devices.

    • Deploys and maintains OT (Operations Technology) network infrastructure through Windows patching, Antivirus updates, firmware updates, and application updates.

    • Performs network component upgrades to maintain network equipment stability and deploys updated firmware to various routers and switches.

    • Installs network computers, servers, network, and communications equipment.

    • Periodically reports System and Cyber security KPI's.

    • Maintains, configures, and monitors virus protection software and email applications.

    • Assists with administration and support of on-line process control computing systems and interfaces.

    • Prepares and maintains control system documentation and Management of Change.

    • Configures and implements new hardware and software.

    • Performs routine maintenance and systems support tasks of hardware and software.

    • Assesses and implements cyber security standards.

    • Implements and maintains VB applications.

    • Interfaces with switches, computer and instrument system vendors and technical support services.

    • Uses the Process Control Computing Environment: virtualization, Honeywell TDC DCS including Data Hiway, LCN, UCN, and TPS components WinNT/Win2000-based Ethernet, LAN including Workstations and Honeywell GUSs & AppNodes.

    • Maintains and designs server environments using VMWare and various storage technologies.

    • Performs disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.

    • Protects data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measures,

    • Troubleshoots, diagnoses and resolves network performance issues.

    • Performs Life cycling network/server hardware/software components.

    • Monitors the performance of networks and computer systems.

    • Completes tasks assigned by Management.

    This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

    The [salary range] [rate] for this position is $90,800.00 to $124,850.00and represents Valero's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of expected compensation at the time of this posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of job-related factors, including but not limited to, the individual's qualifications and experience.

    Qualifications:

    • Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Wilmington Refinery, required.
    • High School Diploma or GED required.

    • 3 years of operations, computer networking, and/or maintenance of field instrumentation required.

    • Bachelor's or higher level degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

    • Process control systems experience in a production environment preferred.

    • Related experience in a petroleum refinery or chemical plant preferred.

    • FortiGate firewall experience and knowledge and other firewall technologies preferred.

    • Certifications preferred: CCNA CompTIA (Server , A ) VMware Certifications CASP/CISSP
