Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and adaptable Medical Technologist to perform complex medical laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. This role involves analyzing laboratory findings to ensure accuracy, conducting clinical trials, and working closely with microbial organisms. The successful candidate will also be responsible for data entry of medical test results and operating a variety of laboratory equipment. This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of moving to another department based on performance and approval at the end of the assignment.

Hard Skills

• Experience with spectrophotometers, calorimeters, flame photometers, and computer-controlled analyzers

• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and local regulations

• Ability to analyze data and accurately document and record results

• Associate's degree in medical technology or related field

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field preferred

• 0-2 years of experience in a similar role

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Melbourne, Florida.

Work Environment

Collaborative microbiology department with 30 total employees. While on the bacteriology bench, interaction with approximately 15 technicians is expected, and on the quantiferon bench, collaboration with about 3 technicians is anticipated. The position is for a night shift, Monday through Friday, from 11pm to 7:30am.
