Job Description

• The Medical Assistant will work within a busy outpatient specialty clinic in Hagerstown, MD

• Will handle patient vital signs.

• Supporting the Provider with managing daily patient flow and being the liaison between the Provider and Patient

• Monitor the clinic messages from patients and communicating the information to the provider and relaying responses back to the patients

• Rooming patients and making sure they are ready for the next visit

• Adding in any doctor's notes to the patient records

• Register patients, completely documentation from their charts, and put in orders and prescriptions

• Provide patients with discharge and follow up information, schedule next appointment

• Collect Co-pays

• This is a full-time, 4 month contract to hire job opportunity with benefits

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Free Parking)

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

• BLS certification

• 2+ years within healthcare (PCT, MOA, MA)

• Use of an EMR
