We are looking for a mechanically inclined candidate to operate our Bridgeport Manual Vertical Mill machine. The ideal candidate should have an extensive mechanical background and be proficient reading blueprints and technical drawings. Manual machining experience is preferred but not required.

salary: $40,000 - $50,000 per year

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Bridgeport Manual Vertical Mill machine to perform various machining operations such as drilling, milling, boring, and tapping.

• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to determine machining requirements.

• Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding devices for each job.

• Monitor machine operations to ensure workpieces meet dimensional and quality specifications.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on the milling machine to ensure optimal performance.

• Work collaboratively with team members to prioritize work orders and meet production deadlines.

• Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

The essential functions of this role include

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• working up to 2 hrs of overtime per week
