The opportunity

Thisposition performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activities dependingupon area of assignment including performing basic trade activities such aselectrical, plumbing and carpentry work.

Howyou will impact WestRock

• Performspreventive maintenance procedures on mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis;inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals,etc.; repairs or replaces broken parts.

• Performsminor and major repair of all equipment.

• Repairselectrical equipment/systems and control circuits; and replaces faultyelectrical equipment as needed. This troubleshooting element is inclusive ofThree Phase Motors and Programmable Logical Controls (PLC) applications

• Installselectrical wiring and equipment; new electrical services; and replaces andrepairs wiring as needed (including computer cable).

• Calibratesand repairs pneumatic systems and other mechanical systems on productionequipment to assure optimum performance of that production process

• Completesdaily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenanceprocedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures

Whatyou need to succeed:

• Ability towork safely, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and comply with allsafety regulations

• Must have astrong working knowledge of relay logic and be capable of applying thisknowledge in the troubleshooting of the PLC's in the production equipment

• Must have astrong understanding of NFPA 70E standards and be capable of applying thesestandards in the work situation.

• Flexibilityto work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts; required to work daily overtime and weekends as needed

• High schooldiploma or equivalent. Technical school preferred.
