    The role you'll contribute:

    The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for assisting with patient care, clerical, environmental, and organizational duties under the direction of the physician and/or clinical leader. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

    o Monitors physicians' schedules, organizes patient care by having the patient prepared and ready on time for the physician visit. Rooms patients including vital signs, reason for visit, patient history, allergies, and completes appropriate documentation following nursing protocols. Assists the physician with examination and procedures that he/she performs. Maintains open communication to ensure quality care.

    o Documents and administers immunizations and therapeutic injections, as well as medications, under the supervision of the physician.

    o Regularly audits ordered tests to ensure results are received and followed up on in a timely manner to ensure quality health care.

    o Covers Triage calls and ensures calls are answered timely and documented appropriately. Calls in prescriptions when needed.

    o Administers IV's and accepts physician orders by phone and verbally.

    The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

    • Minimum qualifications :

    o High school degree or equivalent

    o Graduate of Licensed Practical Nursing school

    o Current active LPN license in the state of Florida

    o BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA)

    Licensure, Certification or Registration Preferred:

    o IV certification

    Knowledge and Skills required:

    o Comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practices

    o Vital signs

    o Body substance isolation

    o Specimen collection
