    Job Description

    About the role:

    Key business partner responsible for providing HR leadership and being primary HR Business Partner supporting 400+ employees/management at the LA Site. Leads HR/Talent Management/Retention strategies. Responsible for the creation, implementation, and evaluation of strategic HR initiatives to support business needs. Will work closely with HR community (i.e., Employee Relations, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Management), to identify and drive departmental goals, objectives and systems that correspond with the organizational strategy.

    How you will contribute:

    • Consults on HR and business issues, strategically and operationally.

    • Leads talent planning initiatives including performance and talent reviews.

    • Implements HR processes and improves services to meet business needs.

    • Drives change management efforts and assesses organizational performance.

    • Provides coaching on leadership development and resolves complex employee relations issues.

    • Collaborates with People Advisory Group and COEs for organizational effectiveness.

    • Develops, implements, and monitors measurement systems for HR programs.

    • Supports site engagement strategy and analyzes employee survey results.

    • Embeds a performance and learning culture through ongoing quality conversations.

    • Demonstrates effective HR leadership, builds strong relationships, and ensures compliance with labor laws.

    What you bring to Takeda:

    • Typically requires bachelor's degree, preferably in human resources, organizational development, business or other related field. 6+ years of related experience with 1+ years in a supervisor/leadership role.

    • Relevant Industry or previous Manufacturing industry experience is a plus.

    • PHR/SPHR Certification or other Human Resources Management certification preferred.

    Important Considerations

    At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role, you may:

    • In general, the position requires a combination of sedentary work and walking around observing conditions in the facility.

    • Inside/Indoor working conditions.

    • General office environment.

    • Will work over 4 hours on computer using keyboard and mouse. Will need to self-monitor each hour to stand/walk away for a few minutes to stretch and relax to avoid constrained posture when sitting at computer, will need to set up office space to avoid awkward joint posture.

    • May need to carry laptop (up to 10 lbs.) to meetings as needed.

    • May need to lift up to lift 25 lbs. to waist 1x/month to set up an HR events as needed.

    • May work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.

    • Will need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.

    • May work in a cold, hot or wet environment.

    • May work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.

    • Must be able to work hours necessary to support a 24/7 operation.

    • Must be able to work 100% onsite.

    • Light travel to Van Nuys location required.

    • May be required to travel domestically to attend business meetings infrequently.

    USA - CA - Los Angeles

    U.S. Base Salary Range:

    $108,500.00 - $170,500.00

    The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.?The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

    U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
