Global GL Accountant

Description

We're looking for a skilled, permanent Global GL Accountant to join a budding company in the Health Pharm/Biotech industry in the HOLLAND, Ohio area. As a global GL Accountant, you will be required to perform financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant role is located in Holland, Ohio within the Health Pharm/Biotech field.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management

• Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external

• Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required

• Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary

• Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations

• Partake in various department-wide initiatives

• Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

• Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner

• Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions

Requirements

• Able to manage time well

• Ability to meet deadlines

• Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

• Foreign Exchange experience

• Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

• Knowledgeable of ERP systems

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

• Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

• Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems, Generally Curious

• 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

• Strong attention to detail

• Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Solid understanding of US GAAP

• University Degree experience required
