As a Financial Analyst at Waste Connections, your success is dependent on your ability to understand the many facets of the business to be able to provide the necessary support to the Region management, in addition to the Divisions and Districts within the Western Region. Some main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform all close, forecasting and budgeting functions for the Region Office.

• Monitor all close deadlines and completeness to aid Districts and Divisions within the Region.

• Assist in regional performance communication to Corporate.

• Assist in analyzing actual and projected performance for the Western Region.

• Assist with budget prep and the budget review process for the Western Region.

• Managing the "day-to-day" Region Office needs (working with the department managers).

• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting requirements to corporate

• Ad-hoc analysis and report building as needed.

• Assist with the review and vetting of proformas, particularly mathematical and mechanical integrity

• Assist with region-wide projects

• Travel is generally not required, but there may be some on occasion.

Your technical background should include

• BS/BA degree in Accounting

• 1-3 years of accounting experience, required

• 2 years of public accounting experience strongly preferred

• proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary: $80,000-$100,000 Annually

Bonus: 0-10%
