    The Executive Director, Site Operations will have a key role aligned with our business goals- to drive transformation through collaboration and innovation. This individual will be a key component of a strategic refresh, and operational execution against that strategy in a key number of functions. Leading these teams utilizing strong change management and leadership skills will be an essential and key part of the role. This leader will have a high visibility role with an expectation to identify and drive opportunities across what is an industry leader in the Central laboratory field. Experience in driving change and executing on a strategic plan, across large teams is a key skill desired. Whilst this is a large-scale operation in a fast-paced CRO environment, an emphasis on leadership experience and effectiveness is the most important aspect versus laboratory experience from a similar structure.

    The Executive Director, Site Operations will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations and strategic planning at the site, ensuring the achievement of organizational goals and driving success through effective leadership and management.

    Essential Functions

    Key responsibilities include

    • Leads the strategic planning to establish short and long-term growth targets and aligns site strategy with global organizational goals and objectives.

    • Develops and implements an integrated plan to sustain and achieve operational, financial and sales growth targets set by CRG's executive team.

    • Drives operational performance, establishing and actively managing operational metrics & continuous improvement initiatives.

    • Maintains high quality service and superior communication between CRG and the client leaders.

    • Leverages advanced technology and scientific expertise to provide innovative, customized solutions to meet client needs and increase efficiencies.

    • Enhances customer relations fostering relationships with clients and external vendors.

    • Integrates operational, business development, R&D and QA responsibilities of the lab.

    • Provides leadership, support, training and mentoring to staff regarding all general aspects of their roles.

    • Engages and motivates staff to achieve the operational and strategic goals set for the Lab.

    • Establishes overall strategies of operating unit or functional area in collaboration with senior leadership.

    • Objectives largely tied to company-wide performance.

    • May be the top-level client contact and ultimately responsible for deliverables.

    • Decisions typically have direct influence on company profitability or growth; P&L responsibility or significant budget accountability/direct impact.

    Education

    • BS degree in the life sciences; Advanced degree preferred.

    • CAP/CLIA accreditation, or willingness and capability to get credential is desirable.

    • Approximately 15+ years previous experience leading and driving change in large teams, with experience in strategic and change leadership.

    • Expert business knowledge with a comprehensive understanding of the organization and functional areas.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

    We are looking for an accomplished operations leader, ideally with the CAP/CLIA accreditation, as well as a proven and creative approach to problem-solving. To be successful in this role, you'll require:

    • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and fiscal management.

    • In-depth knowledge of laboratory operations in pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

    • Demonstrated strategic planning skills.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively lead and participate in activities including:

    • Business development meetings and engagements, including presenting and highlighting capabilities and solutions to key clients.

    • Regulatory Audit responses.

    • Preparation and presentation of budgets and forecasts to senior and executive management.

    • Comprehensive global and cultural awareness.

    • Exposure and experience in mergers and acquisitions, as well as integrating business units with the ability to add value to the overall portfolio.

    • Strong organizational agility and demonstrated drive for results.

    • Track record of building strong peer relationships and developing effective teams.

    • Excellent coaching and mentoring skills.

    • Effective marketing and negotiation abilities.
