    Job Summary:

    Pratt & Whitney 's Mechanical Systems, Externals and Nacelles (MSEN) engineering module is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineering Professional. The Project Engineer will be responsible for part-level support, task planning, and execution to ensure the Integrated Product Team (IPT) achieves goals for the Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT). The IPT has responsibility for the entire life cycle of the part and as such the Project Engineer will be engaged in activities ranging from validation testing to Engineering Changes, from production delivery support to field support and investigations. Candidates need to be technically proficient, communicate effectively, and be customer focused. Travel for this role is up to 10%.

    Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support the IPT through successful technical and program reviews, including the management and closure of key technical risks and issues.

    • Supports the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.

    • Supports in the preparation of status and technical content to appropriate stakeholders

    • Identifies and addresses project problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects.

    • Maintains and presents plans and progress reports to ensure that established targets are met

    • Coordinating designs for development or operational engine programs (Class I & Class II Engineering Changes), fabrication (manufacturing/suppliers/vendor trips), validation (Engine Build-Test-Teardown, ACIs- Analytical Condition Inspection, FMRs- Failure Malfunction Report), and sustainment (Component Field Limits, Merlins-Field Inquiries, Deviation Requests) activities.

    • English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 2 years of engineering experience in the aerospace industry or project management

    • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

    • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 1 year experience with Project Management toolsets (Agile, SAP, Primavera, or MS Project).

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.

    • 1 year with working knowledge of continuous improvement principles (CORE, QCPC, Process Certification, Lean Six Sigma).
