  • Job Description Summary

    The EHS Technical Excellence Leader has primary responsibility for developing and operationalizing world-class EHS procedures, standards, framework, and tools for GE Vernova as part of the overall EHS Management System. This person will also support the creation and implementation of solutions for mitigating risk, focusing on the prevention of potentially severe events (PSEs) and leveraging Read Across to promote a "never happen again" expectation to operational excellence.

    Job Description

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Establish, execute and maintain a standardized EHS Management System that drives operationalization and EHS performance across GE Vernova.

    • Lead a cross-functional team of subject matter experts and business representatives in the development and implementation of standardized EHS procedures, tools and processes to meet business needs and mitigate risk.

    • Collaborate with business partners to develop and maintain a standard EHS Framework to drive compliance and EHS performance.

    • Lead the GE Vernova cross-business EHS Read Across process to prevent the occurrence of severe events.

    • Provide EHS technical expertise to cross-functional teams on incident investigation, environmental management, process safety, industrial hygiene etc.

    • Enable and support EHS teams to utilize data and tools to enhance problem solving, identify root cause and determine the impact of countermeasures.

    • Partner with functional leads on system improvements and the development of standardized tools, training Standard Work and SOPs.

    • Lead other EHS programs related to Safety Culture, Human Organizational Performance (HOP), Life Saving Rules, Root Cause Analysis, PSEs, and other GE Vernova EHS priorities

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in environmental science, EHS, engineering, or equivalent discipline.

    • A minimum 8 years of experience in developing and implementing EHS Management Systems, EHS Framework and/or EHS programs.

    • Proven ability to collaborate, influence and drive priorities across cross-functional teams.

    • Excellent communication skills, including technical writing and speaking. The role holder must have the ability to communicate easily with and be able to relate to people at all levels.

    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

    • Demonstrated experience with EHS regulations and standards.

    • Fluent in English

    • Note:If contracted in the U.S. the following apply: The salary range for this position is $ 146,900- 244,900 USD annually. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 15% variable incentive compensation.
