  • This position is the F&A leader and business partner to the President of the Retail Division and owns the finance and accounting operations for the Retail Business, enabling delivery of current year objectives and long-term strategic goals. Provides financial leadership to the Retail Leadership Team by leading financial reporting, forecasting & budgeting, internal controls and Financial Analysis for the Retail Division and Real Estate Operations. This leadership position is a thought leader and strategic partner to the Retail Division and company Enterprise to enable ambitious top and bottom-line growth as part of Century Visions Strategy. Responsible for up to four direct reports. This is a confidential Direct Hire opportunity with a Fortune 500 company.

    FOCUS

    • Leads financial analyses of business operations, strategic choices, and all other investments, to deliver Division's short- and long-term goals and increase Shareholder Value. This would include (but not limited to); New Stores, Acquisitions, New Formats, optimization of floor space, Product portfolio, and pricing strategy.

    • Leads the monthly forecasting and annual operating plan process for the retail business and accountable for all financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). Leads C-Suite and Management reviews and materials of the Division's financial outlook and partners with Retail President on decisions to maximize results or mitigate challenges in delivering objectives.

    • Leads review reporting of operating results and variance analysis for the Retail business vs. expectations. Enables flywheel of analyzing data, articulating insights, and turning into action.

    • Partner with management to ensure understanding of financial goals and performance against those goals by identifying and managing risks and opportunities as the fiscal year progresses. Takes initiative and accountability to elevate risk areas or opportunities and partners with team to drive actions to deliver against objectives.

    • Implement and maintain appropriate internal controls including SOX and other compliance measures for the Retail business. This includes the oversight for the control environment for the Retail stores with respect to daily cash management, procedures related to fraud prevention, and inventory control in store locations and distribution centers.

    • Ownership and Oversight of the monthly closing process that includes preparation of monthly trial balances, completion and review of associated journal entries and account reconciliations. Leads and prepares management summary of Actuals vs. expectations and utilizes insights to manage forward looking forecast and needed changes in operations to deliver results.

    • Owns the financial reporting and internal control aspects of Retail acquisitions. This includes oversight of accounting procedures, providing support to staff to manage monthly close and sales audit processes, oversight of system conversions and other components as required to transition the business into our Retail segment.

    PROFILE

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field with 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent. MBA preferred.

    • 5+ years of supervisor/leadership experience or equivalent

    • Advanced FP&A experience in Retail, Consumer Products or Durable Products industries

    • Proficiency in GAAP and SOX internal control requirements

    • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills,

    • Strong Analytical and Business leadership skills

    • Travel Required: 20%
