Dietitian II (UPMC Presbyterian)

Job Summary:

UPMC Presbyterian is a large teaching hospital located in Oakland, a neighborhood in Pittsburgh. We care for a variety of adult patients, including Transplant, Trauma, Cardiology, and Neurology- just to name a few! As a part of an inpatient team of skilled Dietitians and Diet Technicians, you will provide quality nutrition care to hospitalized patients. Working Hours: 40 hours per week with flexible start time, rotating weekends and holidays

Job title and salary will be based upon qualifications and career ladder requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care using Medical Nutrition Therapy to assess patients and develop goals and a plan of care.

• Formulate a Nutrition Diagnosis and identify Malnutrition through Nutrition Focused Physical Assessment and the nationally established criteria for identification of malnutrition.

• Accountable as nutrition liaison/expert to assigned units & participate as a member of interdisciplinary committees and projects.

• Mentor and train dietetic students, interns, and new personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics degree with 2 years clinical nutrition experience as a registered dietitian OR

• Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics with 1-year clinical nutrition experience as a registered dietitian required.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN)

• Registered Dietitian (RD)

• Act 34
