At Implant Cosmetic & General Dentistry of Rockland , our mission is to deliver the highest level of periodontal and implant therapy in an effective, efficient and caring environment. Join our team of highly gifted and experienced periodontists, hygienists. We are seeking a highly motivated Dental Hygienist to join our team! You will never be bored in our office! You will assist on procedures that change people's lives every day!

The Dental Hygienist will work alongside the Oral Surgeon and assist them in life changing procedures while comforting and providing a premium patient experience.

Starting at $55.00/HR ; Wednesday's 9:30am to 5:00pm & Friday's 9:00am to 3:00pm

Responsibilities

We care about our team members and understand the hard work that goes into providing a premium patient experience. You will be provided the necessary training and ongoing support to be successful in your role.

Dental Hygienist are required to perform a variety of duties, including but not limited to:

• Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination

• Sterilize dental instruments properly

• Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history

• Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis

• Clean and help protect patients' teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)

• Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)

• Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures

• Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)

• Maintain documentation and charts on each patient

• Monitor supplies

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have periodontal experience, to include SPT and SRP

• 1 year of experience preferred

• State-specific Dental Hygienist license or certifications required

• Local anesthesia certification preferred
