Customs Compliance Coordinator

Description

We are in search of a meticulous Logistics Analyst to join our team based in Greenville, South Carolina. The individual will play a critical role in our operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, providing regulatory guidance, generating shipping documents, conducting audits, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. The role is critical to our operations, requiring a deep understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, Management System, Microsoft Excel, About Time, Accounting Functions, Customer Service, Documentation, Logistics, and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regulatory compliance in accordance with U.S. Customs laws and regulations, communicating effectively with internal teams, suppliers, external partners, and occasionally U.S. Customs (CBP).

• Provide regulatory interpretation and guidance in areas such as Anti-boycott/Restrictive Trade Practices, Export Control Classification, Export Licensing, Compliance training, Export Documentation, Tariff Classification, Customs Valuation, Duty Drawback, Reconciliation, recordkeeping, Preference Programs/FTAs, and customs clearance.

• Create shipping documents such as commercial invoices, BOL, and packing lists.

• Perform audits to assess the export/import compliance of client and supporting operating entities, assisting in determining and implementing corrective actions where necessary.

• Gather and provide detailed analysis and information which may financially impact sourcing decisions.

• Identify cost savings opportunities and evaluate current processes, recommending changes or improvements to increase efficiency/productivity.

• Utilize ERP systems and SAP for various tasks.

• Maintain a strong digital literacy with Microsoft products, especially Excel and Access.

• Uphold excellent customer service and communication skills in all interactions.

• Manage and oversee various accounting functions related to the role.

Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a logistics analyst role or similar

• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Experience with IBM AS/400, Management System, and Microsoft Excel

• Knowledge of the software 'About Time'

• Familiarity with basic accounting functions

• Strong customer service abilities

• Experience creating and maintaining logistics documentation

• Broad understanding of logistics and supply chain processes

• Proficiency in SAP software

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, business or a related field is desirable.
