    The Opportunity

    This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care division where we are focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We're revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.

    What You'll Work On

    • Coordinate input from multiple areas and oversee processes to ensure commercial compliance requirements are met.

    • Clarify project objectives and strategies, develop timelines and milestones to execute projects assigned.

    • Translate project goals into project tasks. Define the nature of the stated business or technical problem.

    • Learn and become subject matter expert in commercial compliance requirements.

    • Resolve issues as they arise and implement lesson learned.

    • Prepare and present project progress reports to keep management and team informed. Identify problems and work to resolve them.

    • Establish partnership across OEC, Sales, Marketing, Regulatory to enable optimal commercial compliance adherence.

    • As needed, work with outside vendors and consultant to execute projects.

    • Follow all Abbot Legal, Quality and Regulatory policies.

    • Solicit the cooperation of a diverse group of disciplines and functions in a tactful and persuasive manner.

    • Lead others in the completion of project tasks.

    • Assist in the decision-making process.

    • Creates a work environment that supports team effectiveness.

    • Interface with other disciplines, customers, internal clients, and project staff.

    • Prepare and presents written and oral reports and other presentations. Adjusts presentation style and content to suit the audience.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

    • 5+ years of relevant project management experience.

    • Extensive knowledge of project management processes.

    • Extensive in-depth knowledge of project planning techniques and working knowledge of automated project planning tools required.

    • Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver difficult messages; execute with limited information and ambiguity.

    • Leadership and influencing skills.

    • Sound business and technical acumen.

    • Experience with stakeholder management.

    • Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally.

    • Strong presentation skills.

    • Ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete their objectives.

    • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Previous experience within healthcare and/or biotech industries preferred.

    • Prefer experience in sales operations, marketing operations, and compliance operations.

    • Excellent software skills, such as Microsoft Suite, SalesForce, or an ability to pick up new software quickly.

    The base pay for this position is $95,500.00 - $190,900.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
