  • Aerotek is seeking a CNC Applications Engineer for a company in Central Oregon. This position is ideally a Day Shift position with the potential to have on-call or switch to a swing for the right candidate. The position will require candidates to have a high-level of detail, strong communication skills/ability to collaborate with team members, experience in Machining, and good technology/software skills as well. Pay varies based on experience. Relocation may be available for the right candidate. This may be a multi-step interview process as well.     Description

    3-5+ years of experience in Machining/Engineering

    Ability to work within a highly regulated/controlled industry supporting applications, process development, perform analysis, inspections, as well as setting up and operating equipment for application testing

    Computer tech / software - Mastercam, Solidworks CAM, AutoCAD

    CNC turning and multi-axis milling, utilizing ceramic, carbide, PCD, solid and indexable, cutting tools, and equipment

    Experience in Tool geometry, grinding, and EDM experience

    Assemble, integrate, and control computer interfaces

    Track records with modern machining strategies

    3-5 Axis machinery

    Understand products to be manufactured and create machining processes to fit requirements

    Determine floor layouts, budget materials, and labor requirements

    Ability to be self-motivated and problem solve

    Mindset to improve upon systems and processes whenever possible
