Cloud Solutions Architect

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to join one of their top financial clients in the Tri-State area. This individual will be joining the Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer and Automation team, responsible for leading innovation and architecture around Cloud solutions. Currently, the environment is about 70% on prem, and 30% in Azure. Due to this current breakdown, we are seeking someone who has a great foundation in on premise technology, who can help increase the current footprint as they look to explore other providers and changing the percentage breakdown based one efficiency not just cost. This individual will also partner very closely with the DevOps, Application Management and Infrastructure teams to establish the current state of the environment and recommend comprehensive solutions in all areas. While Cloud is the focus of this role, we are seeking someone who is well versed in DevOps best practices and has a diverse background of on-premise infrastructure and networking protocols. Any exposure to data focused technologies (various data lakes or warehouses, API strategies) in Cloud will be a plus.

Skills and Requirements

-5+ years experience working within cloud architecture and design

-Well versed in all cloud technologies -- AWS, Azure, GCP

-Strong experience implementing Terraform with Python

-Understanding of DevOps best practices

-Sound background in on premise infrastructure and networking -- should understand things like DNS, IP/TCP protocols -Strong technical skills with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes

-CI/CD tools -- Chef, Puppet, Ansible

-Banking/financial services industry experience

-Exposure to data technologies in cloud -- Snowflake, APIs etc null
