    This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul, Minnesota. This position will have the flexibility to telecommute, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. THe incumbant will be required to complete a telework agreement. The incumbent may be expected to work in the office on occasion.

    This position will provide professional planning and coordination of the program development process for MnDOT including leading the development and administration of key legislative programs and reports. This includes serving as the lead for the development or updates of policies regarding the processes for review and consideration under different programs. This position will serve as the agency's expert on the program-setting process and is expected to facilitate proactive engagement with both internal and external interests to ensure the process is transparent and consistent with agency policy direction.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Three years of advanced professional transportation planning experience that demonstrates the following

    • Experiencing applying planning principles, methods, and techniques.

    • Experience leading planning programs, projects, or processes.

    • Experience leading internal and external stakeholder engagement.

    • Experience directing the work of multidisciplinary teams.

    A bachelor's/master's degree in planning, policy, geography, urban studies, sociology, political science, or a closely related field may substitute for 6 months of advanced professional transportation planning experience.
