On the Async Communication team, we work on high impact projects that serve hundreds of millions of users every day! You will have opportunities to work across our stack, developing software ranging from Web Server to business application layer for our distributed, cloud-hosted backend.

About the Team

With eight specialized departments, the engineering team functions as a highly collaborative, diverse powerhouse. Each department mission is to deliver seamless and innovative communication solutions. These range from software development and machine learning to quality assurance teams that work to create and maintain Zoom's user-friendly interfaces and robust infrastructure. The team continues to push the boundaries of communication technology, bringing people together regardless of their physical distance.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing (C/C++) features to improve the backend system of Zoom Mail/Calendar/Scheduler

• Designing and implementing web servers APIs (application programming interfaces). All our services are web based

• Bringing up our web-based system on server platforms by working with DevOps to deploy your service to the Kubernetes cluster

What we're looking for

• 4+ years of experience with BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, ECE, EE, or BS in the same majors with at least half a year of industry experience.

• Be proficient in script languages, such as python, PHP, shell scripting, etc Demonstrate good understanding of Linux development

• Be skilled with HTTP protocol

• Be skilled on C/C++, could write performant, robust applications

• Have a solid computer background, took many educational courses such as operating system, compiler, database management, data structure, algorithm, software engineering.

Minimum

$94,600.00

Maximum

$218,700.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.
