    The Opportunity

    This Brand Manager - Protality works out of our Columbus, OH location in the Nutrition Division.

    Our nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow, to keeping adult bodies strong and active.     The Brand Manager will be responsible for managing and executing short- and long-term strategies and tactics to effectively support business plan objectives and innovation for the Protality brand. The Brand Manager is responsible for managing and implementing business strategies and tactics to effectively support delivery of business objectives, including share growth, net sales, and profit margin for the Protality business. Additional responsibilities include strategic and tactical planning, agency leadership, brand performance analysis, reporting findings and actionable recommendations to senior leadership, project management, fiscal management, and contingency planning. Developing and managing relationships and communications with internal partners and external customers is key.

    What You'll Work On

    • Lead the strategic oversight and delivery of business financial and consumption monthly reports, analytics commentary, and channel KDIs/KPIs.

    • Create and execute retail promotional plans including shopper marketing programs, retail media, retail displays, trade funding principles, and consumer coupons (e.g., FSI, Digital Coupons, and Retail Loyalty Card Programs).

    • Analyze multiple external data points to identify risk / opportunities, and create contingency plans as needed.

    • Responsible for understanding and managing the impact of retail performance to inform the right activation investments and drive brand consumption in the short term and long-term.

    • Responsible for having deep understanding of retail performance and translating key insights and actions to key stakeholders.

    • Responsible for managing supply and inventory including SKU level monitoring & prioritization across the Protality portfolio.

    • Lead cross functional team in business analysis, retail media management, supply management, and forecasting for the brand.

    • Responsible for managing the brand retail strategy, execution and delivery associated with the Protality brand in the US.

    • Manage the retail budgets to spend to commitments and adjust based on in-market tactic evaluation to maximize performance against expectations and business objectives.

    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives. These groups may include the Field Sales teams, Retail Sales Teams, Brand Agency Teams, Commercial Analytics, Logistics, Deployment, Supply Chain, Quality, Medical, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, Public Affairs, Legal, R&D, Sr. Leaders, Global Abbott Partners and external vendors or agencies.

    • Collaborate with the Innovation and Consumer teams to ensure innovations are supported by robust go-to-market retail plans.

    • Collaborate with internal partners to develop and execute robust go-to-market retail plans for new product launches.

    Required Qualifications

    • BA/BS Degree in Marketing

    • MBA strongly preferred due to the business complexity and strategic focus of the position.

    • 4+ years of progressively responsible product management experience in either health care/OTC marketing, consumer packaged goods marketing, or a combination of the two.

    • Demonstrated effective leadership competencies, including leadership in project management.

    • Demonstrated leadership with agencies including constructive feedback and fast paced decision making.

    • Financial and budget management experience and skills.

    • Resourceful marketer with the independence to find solutions to business problems and then act on them to drive results.

    • Strong analytical skills and KPI tracking capabilities.

    • Proven ability to develop and execute complex strategic business plans.

    • Ability to translate insights into actions & brand implications.

    • Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact directly clearly, concisely and confidently with senior leadership to influence business strategy and investment decisions.

    • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to attain business objectives.

    • Applies data to support business decisions, strategies, contingency plans, and to provide direction to others.

    • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to attain business objectives. Willing to support others and share best-practices.

    • Capable of successfully managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

    • Advanced level PC skills to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • MBA preferred due to the business complexity and strategic focus of the position.

    • Experience working with retail customers and sales organizations.

    • Experience with business performance analysis and reporting, specifically leveraging Nielsen retail data.

    • Knowledge of retail channels including Food, Drug, Mass and eCommerce.

    The base pay for this position is $95,000.00 - $190,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
