Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Clerk to be part of our team based in Torrance, California. This role primarily involves managing the financial obligations of our company by processing invoices, conducting account reconciliations and maintaining updated financial records. The position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Accounts Payable (AP) processes including invoice processing, check runs, and coding invoices.

• Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.

• Utilize various software tools such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to manage financial data and perform data entry tasks.

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to address any issues or inquiries related to accounts payable.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth financial operations.

• Support the finance team in performing regular audits and preparing financial reports.

• Assist in implementing improvements to the accounts payable processes to enhance efficiency.

• Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.

• Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Check Runs

• Ability to perform Coding Invoices

• Proven skills in Data Entry

• Familiarity with Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
