Accounts Payable Clerk

Description Join a team of highly skilled, motivated professionals as an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk through this opportunity offered by Robert Half. The candidate's responsibilities in this role include attending to the general needs of the AP/Finance Department, while working closely and reporting to the Accounting Manager. Matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks will be the main focus points in this role. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Oakland, California area and will be a long-term contract / contract position.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks

• Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies

• Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

• Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs

• Execute additional tasks as needed

• Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail

• Manage full-cycle A/P

• Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling

• Provide internal and external audit assistance as required Requirements - Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

• Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

• Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
